The show “Aspirants” is a coming-of-age drama web series about the past and present of three friends Abhilash Sharma (Naveen Kasturia), Gurpreet aka Guri (Shivankit Singh Parihar) and Shwetketu aka SK (Abhilash Thapliyal), who are preparing for UPSC exam. The show depicts the professional and personal challenges, ups and downs in their lives and their connections with their families and each other. The story is set in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi which is a home for several coaching institutes and hostels for UPSC aspirants. The highly relatable story of the series makes it one of the Top 10 Indian web series to binge watch. The web series is produced by The Viral Fever (TVF) who also produced the “Kota Factory”.
The story of Kota Factory takes place in Kota, Rajasthan which is considered as an educational hub well-known for its coaching facilities. The drama follows the life of 16-year-old Vaibhav Pandey (Mayur More), an Itrasi who relocates to Kota. Kota Factory is the India’s first “Black and White” show that highlights the life and problems of students in that city along with Vaibhav’s attempt to get into IIT by cracking the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)
An honest police officer Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) gets a call from Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a fugitive gang leader who has been underground for 16 years whose ominous warning prompts the officer on a quest to prevent a Mumbai apocalypse. On his journey, he is assisted by Research and Analysis (Raw) officer Anjali Mathur (Radhika Apte); flashbacks depict Gaitonde’s beginnings and his rise to prominence as a crime lord in Mumbai. Since there was mixed reviews for season 2, the production scrapped the plan of making season 3.
Ayali is a family drama that revolves around the life of a young teenage girl Tamizhselvi (Abi Nakshatra) who opposes the awful 500-year-old practices and traditions that inadvertently oppress the women of Veerappannai and dreams of becoming a doctor. This web is series is listed as number 5 among the Top 10 Indian web series to binge watch as it has many relatable scenes about the conservative culture in Indian villages. Since the story ends in season 1 and has no continuity, there will be no season 2.
